Export Gold Match Fishing League is held in five competition areas representing the five competing teams. Each team plays a home and away match.

Region 1:  Hooked on Kia: Western Bay of Plenty/Eastern Coromandel

Region 2:  Yuasa Seafarers: Inner Gulf, Firth of Thames and Manukau Harbour and Waitemata Harbour

Region 3: Xnet: Outer Gulf, Mangawhai Heads south to Whangaparaoa

Region 4: Buildlink Hookers: Whangarei, Bream Bay, Hen and Chicken Islands, south to Mangawhai Heads

Region 5: Team Totalspan: Bay of Islands, Whangaparaoa, Cavalli Islands
